As a Registered Training Organisation, the Institute is committed to supporting and protecting the rights and benefits of our students.  AIPC expresses this commitment in a number of our student policies. Some of the areas covered are:

  • Recognition of Prior Learning: If you have existing counselling skills and knowledge, then you may be able to receive recognition for these.

  • Mutual Recognition (Credit Transfer) of Qualifications: The Diploma contains 5 recognised Units of Competency from the Community Services and Health Training Package.  If you have completed any of these Units of Competency in another training program, you can apply for recognition of your competency in these Units towards your Diploma studies.  This means you do not have to complete these Units again.

  • Feedback: In the quest for 100% student satisfaction, we welcome feedback from students on how we can improve our service. This policy provides an avenue for students to let us know of their feedback or anything they may not be completely happy about.

  • Counselling and Support Services: The wellbeing of our students is important to us. If you require personal counselling or guidance, you may seek a referral to an Institute-trained practising Graduate Member counsellor. It is likely the Counsellor will negotiate a professional service fee with you.
