On Wednesday 19 August, 8:00AM (AEST), AIPC will co-host psychologist, writer and presenter, Dr. Debbie Joffe Ellis (Columbia University, United States), for a free webinar.

In the webinar, titled The Unique, Vigorous and Compassionate Approach of REBT: Using the Mind in Healthy Ways, Dr. Ellis, a renowned specialist in Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), will draw from her extensive knowledge and experience to explore the following topics: The main aspects of REBT; REBT's unique history and development and; Similarities and differences between REBT and Buddhism.

About the presenter: 

Dr Debbie Joffe Ellis was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia. A licensed psychologist (Australia) and licensed mental health counselor (New York), adjunct professor at Columbia University of NYC, she is affiliated with several major psychological associations and societies, including membership in the Australian Psychological Society and international affiliate membership in the American Psychological Association. 

For years she worked with her husband, the brilliant and renowned pioneer of modern cognitive therapies: Dr Albert Ellis, giving public presentations and professional trainings in his approach of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), as well as collaborating with him on writing and research projects until his death in 2007. She continues to present, practice and write about his groundbreaking psychotherapeutic approach of REBT.
