Question

What is the AIPC Article Library?

Answer

The AIPC Article Library is an online repository page with a vast range of articles and publications from the Institute. The objective of this page is to support the counselling learning process through providing valuable material to counselling students, professionals and enthusiasts. The library offers a wide variety of tools for searching, retrieving, printing and viewing articles – along with a practical framework of user interaction through the provision of email notification services and RSS technology.

Question

What is RSS?

Answer

RSS stands for Real Simple Syndication. RSS is simply a process of accessing and sharing content via the internet. RSS allows you to select what information you would like to receive and have it sent directly to your computer and/or media player.
For more information on RSS, see Wikipedia page on RSS.

Question

How do I use RSS?

Answer

Communication via RSS is done through the use of News Aggregators (or Feed Readers). Aggregators reduce the time and effort needed to regularly check websites of interest for updates, creating a unique information space or “personal newspaper.” An aggregator is able to subscribe to a feed, check for new content at user-determined intervals, and retrieve the content. Most aggregators are available on the Internet for FREE (and can be easily downloaded).

For more information about News Aggregators, see Wikipedia page on Aggregators.

Question

How do I submit an article?

Answer

You may submit an article by using the appropriate box in the Library’s main page. Simply enter your contact details in the selected fields and upload your article. The article will be reviewed and if approved, published in a suitable category. If you have any particular enquiries about the article submission guidelines, you may contact us at info@aipc.net.au.
